Terms of use
By creating an account or using SectionCalc Pro you agree to these terms.
The service
SectionCalc Pro calculates geometric cross-section properties and creates reports. The free plan has limits; paid plans unlock the features listed on the Plans page.
Engineering responsibility
Results are calculated from the dimensions you enter or select, using the methods described in the reports. Catalogue values may differ slightly from published tables. You are responsible for checking all results before using them in any design, drawing or document, and a qualified engineer must verify any design that depends on them. We are not responsible for designs, decisions or losses based on results from this service.
Accounts
Keep your password private. Each account is for one person.
Plans and payment
- Prices are shown in INR on the Plans page, including taxes.
- Each purchase is a one-time payment for the period shown. Plans do not renew automatically.
- Access starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Buying again before the end of a period adds to the remaining time.
- Education plans are for current students and teachers and need an approved request.
- Free trial: after you activate your email address you can use every Pro feature for 7 days, for up to 3 sections with up to 3 parts each. Parts you enter during the trial can't be changed. Each email address gets one free trial. When the trial ends, the calculator is locked until you buy a plan.
Fair use
Don't try to break into the service, get around plan or trial limits (for example with several email addresses), resell access, or copy the profile databases out of the service in bulk.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Changes that affect paid plans apply from your next purchase.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [City for legal jurisdiction, e.g. Hyderabad] have jurisdiction.
